Acceptable Use Policy

Effective May 15, 2026 · TrustEd Nav is a product of ExcelUp Lab LLC. This policy supplements our Terms of Service.

1. What this platform is for

TrustEd Nav is an instructional decision-support platform. It is intended for educators, coaches, curriculum staff, and administrators to review instructional materials they have the right to use. Any use outside that purpose may violate this policy.

2. Prohibited content

You may not upload, generate, or process content that:

  • Sexually exploits or endangers minors, or sexualizes children in any way (CSAM is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement).
  • Promotes or facilitates violence, self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or terrorism.
  • Constitutes harassment, hate speech, or threats targeting individuals or protected groups.
  • Contains explicit sexual material, graphic violence, or other content inappropriate for K–12 instructional review.
  • Is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or designed to deceive (including academic-integrity violations).
  • Includes malware, exploits, or content intended to compromise systems or people.
  • Contains personally identifiable student information (names, IDs, grades, IEPs, health records, biometric data).
  • Includes other regulated personal data (medical records, financial account data, government ID numbers).

3. Copyrighted & proprietary material

You are responsible for the rights to anything you upload. Do not upload textbooks, publisher curricula, proprietary assessments, or other third-party copyrighted material unless you have a license, permission, or another lawful basis. Do not use the Service to circumvent licensing terms imposed by publishers or assessment vendors.

Rights holders can submit takedown requests through our Copyright & DMCA Policy. We maintain a repeat-infringer policy and will suspend or terminate accounts in appropriate circumstances.

4. Misuse of AI outputs

You may not:

  • Present audit outputs as guarantees of correctness, compliance, accreditation, or student outcomes.
  • Use audit outputs to claim regulatory or accessibility certification (e.g., "ADA-certified", "WCAG-compliant") that the Service does not provide.
  • Resell, white-label, or sub-license audit outputs without a written agreement with ExcelUp Lab.
  • Use the Service to generate, grade, or moderate content about identifiable individual students without their — or their guardians' — informed consent.

5. Automation, scraping, and abuse of limits

  • No automated, scripted, or programmatic audit submission outside documented APIs.
  • No bulk processing of third-party catalogs or curricula on a consumer plan.
  • No sharing of a single seat across multiple people or organizations.
  • No attempts to evade rate limits, plan caps, or seat boundaries.
  • No reverse engineering, scraping at scale, probing, or stress-testing the Service without written permission.
  • No interference with other users, the Service's infrastructure, or third-party providers we depend on.

6. Security & integrity

  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems.
  • Do not introduce malicious code, conduct denial-of-service activity, or exfiltrate data you are not entitled to.
  • Report suspected vulnerabilities to support@exceluplab.com rather than exploiting them.

7. Reporting violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates this policy, report it to support@exceluplab.com. For copyright issues, use the DMCA process. Include URLs, audit IDs, or other context that helps us locate the content.

8. Enforcement

We may, at our discretion and without prior notice, take any of the following actions in response to a suspected violation:

  • Remove or disable access to specific content.
  • Throttle, suspend, or terminate the offending account or workspace.
  • Withhold refunds for the affected billing period.
  • Preserve and disclose information as required by law or to protect users, the Service, or third parties.
  • Report illegal activity to law enforcement and applicable authorities.

We will use reasonable judgment based on the severity, intent, and pattern of the conduct. Material changes to this policy will be announced in-app or by email.

9. Not legal advice

This policy describes how we operate the Service. It is not legal advice and does not replace your organization's own acceptable-use, child-safety, or data-protection obligations.
